Does anyone make a game for themselves to enjoy?
Post Body

Well, here's my dilemma. I'm a filthy casual gamer, mostly mobile games. But my favorite games are grand strategy or puzzles. There are few, if any, good games for mobile that are easy to use and fun. Soo, I kind of hist want to make one for myself too play and enjoy on my own time. No ads, no micro transactions, just something for me to enjoy.

I'm a 2d animator by trade, and know some about making games in unity, and I'm willing to spend time on it. But my real goal is to make something I enjoy, and it's easy to use on mobile.

So, here's my true question, has anyone made a game, and then gone onto play it and really enjoy the game. Can you masjid it and still find it challenging and interesting over time?

Note: if I were ever to monitize the game, it would be too unlock new game modes / content /maps etc.
