Ask /r/gamedev - graduating from Flash as2 to as3 and 'real' programming.
Post Body
Has anyone else done this? I've noticed that my code barely seems to count as 'real' code, and when I look at other examples I find them quite bewildering. I don't use proper OOP at all currently.
I'm more of a graphic designer than a programmer, but I'd like to reap the benefits of using AS3 (much more efficient engine, easier to then learn other languages).
Has anyone else made the transition? How tough is it? Where should I start? Is it worth it?
All advice appreciated :)
