New to development and only recently made a post getting into game development but I want a decent laptop to be able to start with and something I felt would be nice is a 2 in 1 so later on down the road I have tablet access for designing.
I'm currently seeing a Lenovo Yoga 730 15" that has 16gb RAM DDR4 2400MHz, 8th Gen Intel i7-8550U (1.80Ghz, up to 4.0Ghz with turbo boost, 8Mb cache), 512 SSD, Nvidia GTX 1050 4Gb. It's on sale for $940. Would this be a good laptop for game development for someone who wants to stick with 2D games? I'd say my long term goal would be to make a game with graphics similar to Shovel Knight, Children of Morta, Inmost.
I'm also open to other or better 2 in 1 laptop recommendations and or reasons why you feel a 2 in 1 wouldn't be wise. I know a desktop is ideal for this kind of venture but I'm out and about a lot and I'd like the portability. This is also meant to be more a hobby for myself too as opposed to a desire to get into AAA development.
Thanks so much for any help!
