Create custom games like map editor from warcraft

Hi, I'm an artist and I wanted to create a custom game but WITH A SERVER. What I mean with this is I know having a server is expensive, and the knowledge you need to have to handle that is a lot so I wanted a place to create my custom game.

I know they exist, because multiple times I saw them here and there.

I want them to be 2D not 3D ( I know there are a lot of "3D create your own game in our custom map editor" ).

I know I could make a game with an engine and do coop on steam or something, but I don't have the knowledge todo that.
