Feeling like I’m biting off more than I can chew
Post Body

So, just as the title claims, I feel like I’m biting off more than I can chew when it comes to my journey in Game Dev. So a bit of some back story, I am a Software engineer and I recently developed an interest in game development. I was inspired by a few old games I have played before like Gaia Online and wanted to make a modern version of that game with some features based off of VRChat, minus the VR, but, offering users to add their own items and a few other features through SDKs. I’ll be honest, just from the early parts of learning game dev through unity and C#, it reignited. Y enjoyment for programming. I don’t feel worried per se about wearing multiple hat like with art because before programming I was a digital artist and oil painter and now I realized I can fuse the two through game dev. The reason why I feel like I’m biting off more than I can chew is because I feel like I should make smaller games and familiarize myself with Unity and C#. However, I also feel as though I can learn just through making features in this game idea I already have. I also don’t have a problem if it takes me a long time because I am learning more and more to enjoy the process, which really helps in going through this journey. I wanted to know if anyone else has had this same experience before.
