I go to the casino or the poker room to relax and have fun. I know that I'm probably going to lose what I brought with me, but my main goal is to have fun with it and make it last as long as possible. If I come away a winner or with money left over after I'm tired of playing, I consider that a bonus!
However, what I've found the worst thing to happen, other than losing it all quickly and feeling kind of ripped off by the lack of fun time, is WINNING substantially right out of the gate. Then my brain starts talking to me... "hey, you should leave now with all this money! Think of what you could do with it!" But then I think "But I just got here! I want to play more!" and the two competing thought patterns start warring with one another and I end up not enjoying my time and also getting pissed at myself that I am "wasting" my winnings.
I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way, or am I just nuts?
