I guess this weekend has left me curious as to why it is Hurt's War Doctor that is considered the one who broke the promise when he is simply what McGann's Doctor chose to become as of The Night of the Doctor. Its an odd thought but it would seem that these future, young versions of the Doctor playing child to avoid dealing with the deep seated rage and regret they have boiling beneath the surface are merely blaming Hurt for being the one to execute the actions when McGann is the one who made awful decision (and these are the thoughts of traumatized children).
Just wondering if anyone else was thinking this.
