I watched the Asylum of the Daleks episode pretty recently, and I felt like something was odd. Not missing, just odd. After some thinking, I realized what it was: The main antagonists being the Dalek and their actions on the episode. Everything that happened on the episode would be basically the same, if not better than it was, if it was made with Cybermen in mind instead of the Dalek.
The "Insane Daleks" just act like normal Daleks. Actually I would say they act less aggresive than the Daleks. So if they were actually failed cybermen, that still had a tiny fraction of their human feelings and were fighting for "control" over their own body, would explain their passiveness and how long they take to "activate", as they would be constantly be being sabotaged by themselves.
Those humans the Dalek use to capture the doctor and the companions could be just Cybermen that had their mind converted but not their body for whatever reason, would make more sense than HUGE VISOR INSIDE HEAD, and the suflê lady (forgot her name) could just be one of those cybermen that had mind converted but not body, being physically locked inside a cyberman suit and still having a slight control deep inside over her own counsciosness, that is the thing causing her dream, and when the Doctor tries to break the cybersuit to take her out this ends up "deleting" the human emotions completely and completing the transition to cyberman accidentally. Would be a much more tragic end to the character, and cause the Doctor to grieve a little (I love when the doctor grieves)
It would also explain why the Dalek feel a lot less deadly on this episode. What do y'all think of those changes?
