I know it's a common theory/idea for the Fourteenth Doctor to develop from Ten and be comfortable with his regeneration. While I completely understand the catharsis of this, and the clever commentary it could have on nostalgia pandering - I don't know that I like it.
I feel it sort of removes some of the tragedy of the Tenth Doctor. I liked that his exit was such a downer. It was poignant and bold.
In addition, we've already seen The Doctor have arcs where they came to terms with regeneration after being resistant to it. I feel it'd be redundant. I'd honestly prefer if they doubled down on his resistance to regeneration, or just have it be a more quick and tense sort of scene like when Ten regenerated into himself.
