Surgery on Dec 13th
Post Body

Hey all,

Recently, I went to the doctor for RUQ stomach pain and gastro issues and was given an ultrasound where they found gallstones and sludge with no inflammation or emergent findings. I was then referred to a surgeon who I saw Monday and have been scheduled to have surgery on Dec 13th.

I have been having GI issues for about 2 years but since I got on Suboxone around the same time I assumed my symptoms were side effects/withdrawal. Now having been fully off suboxone since August, I have been seemingly having gallbladder attacks which are worse in the night and the morning, with the classic pain under my ribs on the right that radiates through my back and right shoulder. I also have been having a lot of gas pressure and burping which I understand can be symptoms of gallbladder stuff. I also go between diarrhea and having trouble going/feeling constipated but not.

This past week I've had two days where I woke up with bad stomach pain and that RUQ pain id assume is an attack, super bad for about an hour or two and then slowly fades. I have also felt a little brain foggy, headaches along with the stomach pain and definitely lethargic this past month or so.

Does it seem like it is my gallbladder and does anyone have any tips for what I should do about the pain for this month? I have tried to cut out as much fat from my diet as possible, I am eating smaller meals and taking Tylenol.

I've had surgery but I'm definitely nervous about the pain afterwards. Any advice for post op pain too or just post op advice in general.

Thanks for taking your time to read my story!
