Hey everyone I have been doing a month by month report on how I am doing in case people want to know what the road ahead might be like. Good news for me personally is that things have been going well! So well that I'm about a week late on this post haha.
Noteworthy stuff:
- I can pretty much eat normally. Coffee, soda, fattier meals are all good to go. Sometimes I might get some discomfort or whatever but I feel fine.
- I do still get (non painful) spasms that I got a lot in the early stages of healing, but they come way less now. Sometimes I go days without feeling one!
- At times I can get incision pains or pain where my gb used to be but I feel like that's somewhat normal. I hear our bodies won't fully recover from surgery for about a year.
- I've started working out! Lifting weights and stuff for the first time ever and I'm not noticing any major pain or discomfort.
So all in all things have settled down to almost back to normal for me! I'm very thankful for the surgery and it was the best decision for me. I was getting unbearable attacks and genuinely can not imagine how some people go years with these issues. If you're reading this just know recovery isn't always linear, I say this a lot because there are some days where I feel more discomfort and it sucks but I am genuinely way better than I was for the first month after surgery.
If you have any questions I'll do my best to answer them!
