Activation issues?

After a couple of days delays, my z flip 6 arrived yesterday. I currently have visible as my carrier. I tried to switch today and they are saying that both IMEIs in the phone are not valid. I had to reach out to Samsung. The reason I got from them was that the phone technically has not been released yet and is not supposed to be released until the 24th, then I should be able to activate my phone. I should specify, this is one that is not assigned to any carrier. Has anyone else run into this?
