So when I first updated to lollipop on my verizon gs5. I had issues with severe battery drain so I looked at any battery stats app I could find including the stock one, but without being rooted, I could not figure out more then the android os and android system were using the most battery. One of the things that I noticed also was that my heart sensor would light up anytime something gets close enough to it but only when the screen is on. I did a factory reset and that seemed to fix the problem so I started installing my apps again a couple each day and had no issues. Then last night I reinstalled IFTTT again and now my heart rate sensor is again randomly coming on when something gets close enough to it. I uninstalled the app and restarted the phone but still have the heart rate sensor issue so my question is, is there anyway to fix my problem with out factory resetting it again.
TLDR; heart rate sensor turns when touched and screen is on after update to lollipop and installing IFTTT
