Just moved from an iPhone and wondering if it is possible to make the screen light up and show the notification as it comes in (similar to the iPhone?). Currently I get the LED, a vibration and an icon in the top bar of the screen when I'm using it but the screen remains black.

Also I (unlike the poor aussies I've seen) do have the camera icon on the lock screen. Now I am definitely just being stupid here but I can't activate it? I slide my finger from the icon to the curve radiating from the corner of the screen and nothing happens? Not too sure what I am doing wrong (apologies for the terrible terrible explanation). The phone is set to use the fingerprint scanner which I think is why as it works on the swipe to unlock setting. If that's the case what the hell is the point in the widget when you have any lock screen security on?!
