Something that I've noticed with my recently acquired Galaxy S10 is that the Wifi connection menu that shows you routers around you that you can connect to seems to be decidedly insensitive. For example, my bedroom is on the second floor whereas the router is on the first floor. The phone is able to see my 2.4ghz access point but it cannot see my 5ghz access point. My other phone, an LG V30, has no problem both seeing and connecting to both access points.
The peculiar part is that I also have the application WifiAnalyzer installed on my S10 which allows me to see nearby AP's, their strength, what channel they're on, etc and through the application I have no problem seeing my 5ghz AP as well as many other AP's that are further afield.
When viewing the signal strength of various AP's around me on WifiAnalyzer both my S10 and my V30 show similar signal strengths for each AP.
Is there any way to decrease the minimum signal level required for the Wifi connection menu to display an access point so that I can see more AP's and therefore try to connect to them?
