How can iCloud transfer without buying DLCs?

So as many before me I have run into the supernova story glitch and as GOF2 isn’t being developed I want to find a solution. My current idea is to save my game to iCloud, then play the mission on one of my old iPads running iOS 10 then save again to iCloud before resuming as normal. Problem is I don’t want to buy the DLC’s again on my other iPad but it doesn’t let me load the save as it says I need the supernova DLC. Is there any way to get around this?
