Cut my losses

Post Body

I picked up a classic 2017 model for £100. It's got a leaky steam valve, group head seal is FUBAR and generally a pain in the arse to use.

Should I just cut my losses and try and sell it and get a better model or am I being discouraged by the work I'll need to put into it to get it working well.

Edit. Just to add some extra info.

The steam valve leaks. Steam wand wobbles The steam knob is also loose and hard to turn the steam on and off. The V2 model which means no 3 way solenoid. I tried brewing coffee with too fine a grind and the boiler started to leak.

My question is at the point I've spent enough to fix it I would be closer to a new machine which comes with a warranty and the rest.

Thank you for your advice.
