Horrible sound after steaming

Post Body

I've been using a post-2019 GCP for several years now without any issue. I'm using the SoC 9bar mod, so I've always been extra cautious to keep the boiler filled.

This morning after pulling a shot, I forgot to top up the boiler. I began steaming with no trouble, but heard the loudest, worst noise I've ever heard. It sounded like a freight train starting up. It sounded like new galaxies were being formed inside my GCP. After about ten seconds, I began running the pump and the noise subsided.

My main question is whether anyone else has experienced this. Did I run the boiler dry, or is there another issue? What's the likelihood I damaged anything if this was the case. I'd appreciate some help!

Edit: This is exactly why the GCP is such a great machine...The huge community around it equates to a lot of people likely having similar issues with stuff. I appreciate the help here and this issue is now fixed!
