I'm planning on trying Pregabalin soon. The only pills I can get are 300mg capsules. I've had capsules of regular, over the counter drugs before and they are usually soft capsules that have the drug inside in powder form. You swallow them and then they are supposed to dissolve in the stomach and get absorbed. I'm not sure if Pregabalin are the same type. The ones I'm looking at are generics if that matters. The branded Lyrica pills aren't available where I am. I don't really want to take 300mg for my first time. I would rather try 75mg-100mg at most as 300mg seems like a lot. I have a pill cutter but that's only intended for cutting hard tablets, not soft capsules. If you cut a capsule in half, wouldn't the powder just go everywhere, making it very difficult to know what dose you are taking?
