An endless downpour expelled by engorged rain clouds pound against the window. The suns rays are all but completely blocked by the dark clouds that hang overhead. The storm has persisted for over a week now, which is why you're here. Instead of slowly dissipating as usual, the storm has only grown stronger. Smaller homes on the outskirts of town have all but completely flooded. People are leaving en masse, making this humble town even smaller. You sit before the Mayor in his office, and he has many questions. It's your job to find answers...

Hello! Hopefully this rather little teaser is just enough to pique your interest. I know, it's not the most steamy or raunchy scene-setter, but hopefully the mystery is enough to entice you to dig deeper.

A little more about the setting: This is a high fantasy world full of magic and a wide variety of wonderfully imaginative creatures! While I do intend to have this be a more serious setting/story, there will be plenty of smut, so don't worry. Your character is requested, by name, to investigate this seemingly unnatural storm. As for why you're so special can be discussed together. Perhaps you're an ace detective, one who has a knack for putting clues together others normally overlook. Or, you could be a powerful mage whose arcane insights can be used to determine the source of this spell and, if it's magic, how to neutralize it. There are many other possibilities of course, but I figured I could give you a little to work with!

We can work together on any particulars regarding a backstory for you, but please have a rough idea for a character.
