Finally. That is all I can think as you bring yourself to your knees. The culminations of years, heartache and toil. A moment I had seen with my mind’s eye countless of times. And so I push through the pain with decisive steps as I raise my sword.

But as I do, it flashes in your eyes…

The eyes that only minutes ago were dripping with arrogance now only reflect fear. And is that the glimmer of a tear in your eye? After everything you’ve done I could almost pity you. But why should I? I know all too well the mercy that I would’ve been shown in your place. And even the fear that you feel in this moment is nothing compared to the pain you already caused.

Luckily for me, the flash lasts only for a heartbeat, as you quickly return to venomous remarks to goad me into striking you. Words that make my hands attempt to choke the hilt of my sword as I muster all my hate and anger…

And so my sword falls, but not in anger, as I decide to ignore the part of me that hates you. And instead I decide to listen to the one I believe to be the best part. Even if I know that many will hate me for it, as I tie my destiny with yours.

We’ve all seen them. Prompts in which the hero is brought to their knees as they face their nemesis. Suddenly robbed of their destiny and even their freedom, they are now forced to contend with their new role under the one that stood against everything they represented, and their ideals and convictions crumble around them. It could be a nun whose only idol to worship now is a throbbing cock. Or a paladin whose only purpose is to bring new generations of orcs.

There’s lots of flavors, each and every one as popular as the last. But today I want to leave aside that trope for another, which is the enemies to lovers pipeline hahahaha.

It doesn’t even have to be fantasy. It can be a super hero story, a post-apocalyptic one, sci fi or even something set in a more mundane world. I’m not married to the setting, so if you have another idea do let me know!

But basically that’s the prompt. You are stripped of your power, but even under the bondage of chains you are treated with dignity. Even if you yourself don’t see it as such, as I made it my mission to be by your side and make sure you find redemption.

It doesn’t have to be all that vanilla though. There could still be punishments as well as you disobey such as spankings and what not, if you are into that.

And of course we can discuss what brought us to this moment. What made me think you could be redeemed? What story do our characters share and how personal is it?
