My eyes flit over the dimly lit interior of the bar as I shift uncomfortably on one of the hard, wooden stools, rubbing my thighs together beneath my short black dress. Or maybe another stranger - one who challenges me to a game of pool or who loans me a cigarette out back when I think I've totally struck out.
