It’s my first day and I’m extremely nervous as I’d never been a secretary before and knew little to almost nothing about the job. Still baffled that even though I fumbled the interview and messed up every answer I still somehow got the job. The person interviewing me I was told was my future boss and she seems nice but a real no nonsense kind of lady.
The closer I get to the doors the more and more I wonder if I would actually be able to play off the fact that I’ve never done a job like this before. My mind kept flashing back to when she told me I got the job and she was kind and confident almost… flirty even! Though I guess if she was flirting I could just chalk that up onto the list with everything else I’d messed up to that point.
I reach out and open the door entering our building and before long I stand outside her door nervous to open it the uniform I was told to wear felt far far too small and inadequate but who was I to question it. I finally get up the courage and open the door.
