Does anyone here know what could generate the millions of Kelvin's required for a pure fusion reaction?

Thermonuclear weapons have a fission primary detonation, which provides extreme heat, allowing the fusion secondary detonation to take place. So far, no one has found anything that could reach the required temperature, without fission. Does anyone know what could generate the necessary temperature, or is cold fusion more achievable?
