When I was at Anime Expo for the first time last year, I became aware that I would really want to hug a furry (I'm sorry if I'm using the wrong term). Only, of course, if the recipient was actually okay with getting physically intimate since that's just common courtesy. Unfortunately, I was hanging out with an online friend for the first time and I was too much of a coward to go up and ask for a hug after he vehemently declared his hatred for furries. I did manage to wave at one who waved back and that made me very happy.
This year I was hanging out with my brother who may or may not be biased against furries. I'm actually not sure about his stance. Either way, I didn't manage to go up to one and ask for a hug.
I really hope I work up the nerve to politely ask for a hug at Anime Expo 2019.
I'm not sure why I shared this. Maybe I had hoped this would be some sort of premature resolution that would genuinely push me to action. Sorry about this stupid post.
