Is it possible to fix this myself as someone with no experience?

I have no experience at all with furniture and am not particularly handy. What might be the approximate amount of time it would take? I have four chairs with similar damage, the photos are the extent of the damage to one chair. Any insight or advice is welcome. Thanks!
