I went through a whole industrial furniture phase and currently have a lot of furniture that is steel/metal. It is in good condition, but there are some scuffs and blemishes in the finish. It is all still very usable and has a lot of life still left in it.
I’ve decided it’s time for a change and have ordered a few new pieces to change things up. Since there’s a lot of life in these pieces, I’d like to sell them.
Does anyone know of any paint or otherwise that I could use to fix the imperfections?
One of the pieces is the Parsons bed from Room and Board. When I first got it, during the delivery, they scuffed it up some and R&B had someone come out and take a look. They used some kind of spray paint to fix it and you couldn’t tell. Does anyone know if I can purchase this paint?
Other pieces include a Parsons table and desk from Crate and Barrel and nightstands from West Elm. These have both been discontinued, at least they are no longer on the website.
The pictures attached are an example of what I mean by minor blemishes. Of the four pieces, the tops of the nightstands are the worst. Most of the other blemishes didn’t photograph well, but included a part of the bed. There is also a little bit of rust inside the rails of the bed. Nothing serious, but would like to fix that as well, which I think the paint would do.
Also, an acceptable answer is to just sell as is and not worry about it. But if it’s a relatively easy fix, I’d like to do it.
Thank you for any suggestions!
