I was on vacation for my kid's birthday and just decided to log in to Genshin on my phone to claim welkin and maybe condense some resin. I noticed the shop had reset for December so I took care of the wishes too.
On the first wish of the 5 acquaint fates, her splash art suddenly appeared. What the fuck. I wasn't even near pity—I was only 46 wishes in. I didn't even get to see the star turn gold because I always skip the standard wishes. It felt like shellshock. I wasn't complaining, I was just utterly surprised.
Three years and 19 (I got Mona's C1 after I made the linked post) standard character copies later, finally the Hoyo gods decide to bless me with Jean on the same patch of Furina's release.
The drought has ended. She is finally home.
