Hey, Would you order me a cup of coffee?
Post Body

Straight out of the WTF files, comes my trip to Starbucks this morning. Whilst standing on line, (maybe 4 people ahead of me) a woman in her late 40s - early 50s walks in. She's standing behind the line and sees a guy standing 2 people ahead of me. She asks the guy to ORDER her a cup of coffee as she was running to the bathroom. Dude reluctantly says ok, orders his stuff and her coffee, and steps off line. Woman comes out of the bathroom, walks outside, comes back in and walks over to the dude. At this point, I've ordered, stepped off line, and am waiting for my coffee, when I hear the following....

Guy to Woman: "Ok, that's 2 bucks."

Woman: "Oh, you're not buying me the coffee?"

O_o

Guy: "I don't know you. Why would I buy you a coffee?"

Woman: "Oh, I don't know, some people do that kind of thing for people. I thought you'd buy it for me."

At this point, I decided I need to interject.

Me: "Lady, what is your deal? You asked him to ORDER you a cup of coffee. ORDER as in you would give him the money."

Lady to Me: "No, I asked him to BUY me a cup of coffee because I don't have the money for it."

Me: "NO. You asked him to ORDER you a coffee. What planet do you live on that some random guy would buy you coffee? What the hell is wrong with you?"

Lady:"You know what? Never mind!" Dramatically throws her arms up in the air and walks out.

Everyone in the shop was gobsmacked. The barrista heard what was going on and gave the guy the money back.
