I'm 30 and have a bachelor's degree in supervision and management. I graduated eight years ago. I've had a string of entry-level jobs like stock clerk, hotel front desk, pool cleaner, and campground worker. However, I do speak German at a high level and I do have volunteer experience at a library and a blind center, but it's been over ten years since I did that.
I'm also worried about letters of recommendation. My last job was really toxic, so I can't use them for references. I also haven't had contact with any teachers in years. The only person I could really ask right now is my German tutor. I also have a friend who is a lawyer in Berlin. I don't think these would sound very good, however.
If I applied to teach English Germany, would I have a decent chance? What do you recommend for the letters of recommendation? Thanks.
