Used XE3 or new XM5?

Hi everyone! My dilemma continues on the search for a beginner edc. I was pretty much sold on the XE line not until I saw that fuji is releasing the xm5 by november.

As for my use case, I just want something as a hobby where I can document or take photos of anything I like may it be during travels or random trips to the coffee shop.

I’d love something compact and pocketable hence the 2 options as I found a reseller selling a used XE3 with a 35mm lens for a total of $880.

Looking into both, which one is better value for money and a good investment in the long run that would cater to my needs as well?
