I floated this information to SidAlpha who is pretty good at using the information that I provide him. However, I feel like this information is too big to not share with the general public. Granted, I do not in any way intend for this information to be used to harass Deep Silver, but rather be used to educate the general public about the lengths that Epic will go to use bait and switch to earn exclusives.
Okay, let me rewind the clock to E3 2018. The game was Metro Exodus. We all remember the trailer, right? The Ohh, pretty train. Well, at the end of that trailer was this:
Okay, it said that Metro Exodus was coming to Steam as of 2018. What seems to be a problem there, chief?
Well, let me fast forward to Gamescom 2018. Just a few short months after E3. The game this time is Shenmue III.

Funny how a few short months later that ALL of the Steam trademarks were removed from Deep Silver's games! This move wasn't as spontaneous as the press made it out to be! This was cold, very calculated and was designed from the ground up to HURT Valve. I mean, why else did Deep Silver:
A. Was very public when the cat was out of the bag about Epic exclusivity, almost giving it a polish.
AND
B. Didn't consent to refunds from angry backers/preorders (remember that Tim Sweeny did that)
