Reframing Power, Control, and Strength
Post Body

Hi All

I'm just a few weeks into a long-delayed recovery. I have found that much of my pull towards ED is the need for feelings of power and control of self and situations, and a perception that restriction is strength. I want to rework my internal definitions of those words, to decrease the hold they have over me within the context of ED. I've got a few things started but I'm a little stuck. ** What does power mean to me? The ability to affect change, being knowledgable, being able to enforce boundaries

What does strong mean to me? Physical endurance, mental/emotional strength, discipline, committment, having a sense of agency

What does control mean? Enforcing boundaries again, ??

I would love some insights! Thank you :)
