tw: ed, periods, sex

I (18) am pre T, and i’ve been on birth control for a bit over 3 years now. hormonal iud. i didn’t have a period for a few years after that, and almost immediately after my first one, relapsed into anxorexia, losing my period from that point out. so i’ve only had a handful of periods in the last several years and honestly don’t remember all that well what they’re like.

furthermore, i’m hooking up w an amab person, which i wasn’t doing when i got the iud put in (and really, the only reason why i care). not to give tmi but i wanna get creamed real bad lol.

so, i had my first period in about a year at the beginning of this month. now, about 2 weeks later, i’m down fucking bad, which is consistent with ovulation on a regular cycle.

a doctor isn’t really an accessible thing to me right now. is it possible i’m ovulating? can i experience the symptoms of ovulation without actually releasing the egg? (me and my sexual partner are std free) should i be able safely indulge in my kink without worrying about pregnancy? planned parenthood said my iud is good through mid 2026 when they inserted it, so i don’t plan on getting it replaced until then, if i even still have a uterus at that point.
