I’m having top surgery in one week! Almost exactly down to the hour as of posting. I’m extremely excited!

So I had my pre-operative checkin with my surgeon today. We basically just confirmed that I understood everything that’s going on, went over medications and confirmed my aftercare arrangements. I finally made the leap and asked for no nipple reconstruction.

This was a big thing I mulled over for a while. Due to Circumstances it took a looooong time to get here from initial consult. I decided in that time that I don’t like my nipples! I kept on having the thought that I might like my nipples played with when I don’t have breasts anymore but I decided that I hate my nipples so much it doesn’t matter if that I could like it in the future. Plus it makes recovery a little easier and I don’t have to worry about them looking too high or low on my chest.

Maybe I will get nipple tattoos…maybe not!! But either way I feel I came to the right conclusion for me. No nip cowchunk!
