Birth control getting rid of affirming traits?? (Content warning: monthly discussion, birth control)
Post Body

15, pre-everything, unaccepting household.

I went on birth control around 8 months ago. This was purely medical, and unrelated to any sort of transition. I just needed the bleeding to lower and to be able to walk without taking liver damaging amounts of ibuprofen. Doctors never figured out the problem, could have been an underlying issue, maybe just being young. Who knows?

Pre-birth control I had what looked like happy trail. It wasn’t much, but it was honest work. It felt very affirming having a “masculine” trait, even if it wasn’t much. I go on birth control (Liletta IUD) and within a few weeks it’s gone. There are other things too. My leg hair thinned out just a bit, and other stuff that takes me in the absolute wrong direction transition wise.

Did this happen to anyone else? What would the odds be that my monthly brutality was a result of a higher than average T-level? (I know, I know, but a man can hope) Is there any way to combat this that doesn’t involve going off of it?
