Can T make you ballsy?
Post Body

Something that just came into my head right now. I absolutely love adventure, trying new crazy shit but there's one problem- I've been incredibly cautious my whole life, it's one of my biggest 'flaws' I personally think.

I became the skate crew's default filmer because I can never commit and hardly progress. I can't even do a backflip into a foam pit despite wanting to do it for years. Whenever I played sports, hockey or soccer, I've always been a defender, because once things get crowded I sub-consciously back away slightly from the ball.

It's not with mental things, I'm usually not afraid of 'getting in trouble' or doing stupid shit, climbing, sneaking into places, anything like that. It's pretty much only physical things that I'm cautious about. It's like subconsciously I'm afraid of getting falling and hurt, even though mentally I'm shouting at myself 'just fucking commit!!!!!' I definitely have forced myself to just go for stuff, and I have become marginally less cautious over time, but I've kind of come to accept that it's something that's just part of my DNA. No matter how many hours I try and 'not think- just do' things, I'm always going to have trouble progressing and take a significantly longer time to do something than my friends.

But I'm wondering has anyone experienced becoming less cautious on T? I understand testosterone isn't liquid courage, I don't expect this to ever go away. I'm just wondering if it would help at all. I'm not talking about confidence, or strength, or anything like that- specifically subconscious fear of getting hurt when doing physical things.

edit: the reason I ask is because I noticed that males tend to be less cautious than females. So just wondering if hormones could have any effect on your subconscious cautiousness.

double edit: when I say 'sneaking into places' I don't mean like banks.. I mean climbing over fences and walls into abandoned buildings or concerts and stuff for filming..
