So if anyone was wondering why I hadn't posted the stuff about that survey results, it is because the situation with that scammer therapist that screwed me and my partner over. You can check the original posts here and here.
Sadly, I don't have the best news. When we originally filed our dispute, we were told it could go back 120 days because it was fraud, but apparently that's not the case. To make a very long story short, they now claim their system can only process back 60 days from the initial claim. So I only got back 3 of 6 transactions. To make it worse, they did initially refund us for the whole amount, so we woke up to a lovely surprise of over $150 being taken from our account. Luckily we won't be charged overdraft fees, but we still have to make up that money. Which is bullshit.
They did, however, agree that the transactions that they "could" give back in the system ARE fraudulent under their guidelines. They also stated that they would be encouraging Paypal to ban Brand New Day Counseling/Melissa Leonhardt's seller account(s) entirely. We are also not the only Chase customer to have a problem with this particular person, apparently. They couldn't tell us anything more than that, but it was let slip that this person was definitely bad news.
As far as reporting her to state boards, we've had trouble doing so. It seems like she may not be actually licensed at all in either NC or TX - the two places she claims to be (on her site she claims NC, but she said she lived in TX).
TL;DR
DO NOT use Brand New Day Counseling. It is a scam, and she may not actually be a therapist at all. DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID.
Edit for clarification since I got a PM about it: There is a Melissa Leonhardt that is/was registered in NC. However, they do not have records of her business in that state as of now. So they can't regulate anything this person does.
