Context (and also an introduction!):
I recently graduated from college not too long ago, and moved to a new city. In college I was pretty out and had a decently sized group of friends who knew about my transition (and some who didn't). When I graduated, I moved to DC for work. So far I love the city - but I've been pretty down the past few months because of the friends that I do have, most of them don't know that I'm trans and the ones that do know are straight allies. It's the same situation with work friends - I'm completely stealth there and it's starting to become incredibly isolating.
So for guys who have been in a similar position, how have you gone about building community for yourselves when you are (for the most part) alone in a new city? What did you do in the meantime to keep your spirits up?
