I used to pack every day without a problem. After a year or two of doing that, my skin became extremely sensitive. Now I can't have any type of packer (silicone, non-silicone, sock, etc.) in my pants without developing a rash and extreme itch within minutes.
I've tried to put a layer or two between the packer and my skin, but it seems like nothing helps.
I don't know what caused all of this and I don't know if it will ever go away. Doctors don't seem to know anything, either. I just want to pack again. Though I have been forced into being okay without packing, there's still part of me that feels unsafe (even though I know that I completely pass without packing).
Has anyone ever had this problem? Have any suggestions? Know where I can find out more?
I've looked at laundry detergent and I primarily use unscented and a kind that says it is good for allergies or something like that. I don't think I've changed soaps or anything - I kinda just use what I can get, so I guess I've changed those a lot.
Right. Something about having extra materials? I'm not exactly sure what's causing the issues.
I have not. I think I'll try to talk to my doc when I get my next blood testing done.
I've never dusted my packers. I get the same reaction even when having a sock there.
