ever since i started my transition like 4 or 3 years ago I've been using both T and an E blocker, the E blocker is very expensive and I have to buy it every 3 months. I've talked about this with my endo because it puts a very big hole in my pocket each time i have to get it, she quite literally said "as long as you have ovaries you will have to take the blocker" but it sounds kinda weird to me? im currently 21, I was 18 when I started HRT and I've never heard of any other ftm peers using E blockers, just T. I was looking into it with a gynecologist and he said we could do a hysterectomy to take out either just the ovaries or the whole uterus and regardless of which one or how much it is, it'llbe cheaper than continuingto buy these blockers. Is there really any difference between these two? is one better than the other? should I just see another endo ??. (For reference the blockers cost anywhere between 7,000 mxn pesos up to 12,000 mxn pesos, thats about 300 USD up to 600 USD just for one application) I think a big part of this issue is that both of these drs are cis and I'm quite literally their first trans patient but idk... I would appreciate any advice:(
