How much of a risk is it to use recently expired testosterone enanthate?
Post Body

This is obviously not my first choice, and I'm wondering if I should skip my injection altogether this week.

I started testosterone for the first time in a new state, and they began prescribing the enanthate for my injections (I'm allergic to cypionate), and they told me that it has a half life of 28 days, and that I'm going to have to waste the leftover testosterone since it will be expired after my last injection of the month with it. Well, I called the pharmacy a week ago (I'm based in the US), asking if they'll have my prescription ready by Friday. They said that I don't have any refills on it, and I'll have to call my doctor. Okay. I call the doctor. They said, wait, you have two refills on it, but we'll contact the pharmacy, and see about working it out. Great. I call the pharmacy the next day (I've been calling every day this week, by the way), and they said sorry, the doctor never contacted us, and we still don't have any refills for you. By this point it was too late to call the doctor, so I put in a refill request on my patient app. I call again the next day... I think you get the picture. So as it stands, I have been hearing the same thing all week- we don't have your refills in the system, the doctor hasn't contacted us, call the doctor and they say okay, we'll contact them, etc.

Today is supposed to be my injection day. My doctor said she wants me to be as punctual as possible with my injections. I have no idea when whatever is going on between my doctor's office and the pharmacy will be worked out, so I have no idea when I will be getting a refill of my testosterone.

As I mentioned, I'm on testosterone enanthate. My last injection was a week ago, and it expired two days after my last injection. How much of a risk would it be to just use the expired medication for my injection? Should I just skip it entirely, and wait until they finally fill my prescription, which I have no idea when that will be considering I've been trying my damnedest to get it filled literally all week?

This is just really disappointing for me. Before I moved here, my old insurance stopped covering as much of the t as they were, and I couldn't afford it anymore, so I was off it for a while, and a lot of the changes I liked disappeared, and I REALLY don't want to go through that again for the sake of my mental and physical health. The possibility of having to stop again, for whatever amount of time, really just bothers the fuck out of me. Any of y'all experienced this? Is there anything else I can do, should I just switch pharmacies or something?
