roedoh brief+ harness - should i buy a size down? xs vs xxs

super niche question but i want to make sure the fit is tight as i've been really let down with my experiences thus far w strap ons, nothing is tight enough to get a good control. it says 11.5 waistband for xxs and 12.5 for xs, my underwear are like a 12 though lol. thoughts?!
