Question to ftm folk, do you believe that someone who identifies as Non-Binary but has not yet transitioned can be considered trans? Background: I live in Seattle with my partner who is ftm. I have plans next year to jump on estrogen and I was AMAB. I still have facial hair (try shaving and makeup but stubble still shows.), I wear gothic clothing that is fem but not like dresses or pink, still have a deep voice and am fairly skinny.
We have started poly dating and on most apps I get messages from people mostly from other trans folk on apps saying not to put the t4t in my bio because I ādonāt lookā, have ānot started to transitionā and or āseem to be transā. This makes me feel like shit tbh and after crying a bit I sometimes over compensate for it by trying to rush my doctor with getting on Estrogen then end up stopping myself cuz like my partner says, why? Just for others? But Idk what to do. My partner said that it just seems people here in Seattle are being gate keepy but what do you all think? I donāt mind adding more context but if someone you knew say they were trans didnāt get on estrogen yet does that make them not able to say they are trans? I donāt think so but I am so curious to here from you all. Thank you!
