Has anyone had Paul Polinski for an Accounting class?
Post Body

Hello,

TLDR: Any opinions on him? Does anyone know how to do well in his class? Does he curve the class or exams?

I’m currently a student in his Financial Accounting and Reporting 2 class (FAR 2) and I’m wondering if anyone here has had him in the past?

We just took our first exam for the class and it was something…

From what I (and everyone else have talked to) have gathered, it was insanely hard.

The exam was wayyy harder than all the quiz and practice problems assigned.

It even says in the syllabus that the exams are designed to be harder than what we do in class.

So how do we prepare for this class and successfully pass it?

Because at least with FAR 1 the exams were just like practice problems, and all the things we did in class. So if we just study those then we would 100% be fine.

But using that same method for this class doesn’t work, because the exams are so much harder.

The exam we just took hasn’t been graded yet, but I already can tell I bombed it. Even though I studied like 20 hours for it.

I did fine in Far 1 one, but I generally don’t know what to do for this class. And exams make up like 80% of our grade.

So any opinions on how to pass his class or FAR 2 in general?

Any information would be helpful, thanks!
