I know it doesn't look like much yet, but I believe this new subreddit has the potential to be something great. And hopefully, since it focuses on staying cheap and beautiful, it should be easier to weed out the product promotion spam.

One thing to keep in mind: some beauty alternatives and recipes may not necessarily be health conscious. If you are looking for natural beauty alternatives, go to /r/natural beauty or /r/beauty. This subreddit is strictly for people that need to save their money.

I'd love some input on how to make this a great community and how to make it a popular enough to be a reliable source for all cheap beauty.
