I'm flying with frontier here soon, but have never flown with a firearm before. I know it has to be in a secure lockbox, but other than that I have no idea as to what other regulations there are. I have a lockbox with a very simple key. It does wiggle on the sides but I can put enough items inside it so that it doesn't have room to allow anyone to pry into it. Though I can make this happen I don't know, nor can I find anything to tell me if my lockbox is allowed on the flight. Can anyone who has flown with a firearm give me any advice for this? My flight is in 7 days and I don't want to not be allowed to bring my firearm as I'm moving to another state, and won't have a flight back.
