This is quite long and thrown together fairly quickly as it came to me. I've enjoyed the Souls games since I first played Dark Souls. I enjoyed Sekiro and Elden Ring as well and some of my personally favorite parts of these games were the deep lore and worldbuilding. Please let me know what you think. Humanity has progressed technology to a mythical level. Levitating vehicles, plasma grade weapons, robotic workers, and the latest in terraforming technology. In search for a way to further technology cutting edge scientists found and harnessed a new type of energy, but it was seemingly useless to power existing technology. After many trials it was found useful in medicine, to augment healing, the potency of medicines and generally make the human body work on overdrive while exposed. Medical technology rapidly advanced to the point limbs are being completely stitched back together or, in some cases, regrown under prolonged, intense exposure.

In an effort to help further the physiological potential of humanity the singular genius of the age, Erasmus Morganthal, pioneers the advancement of the LifeWave technology and sets up towers across the world to emit this special energy. All the world's countries are contributing and it seems humanity is finally working together and progress towards a peaceful goal.

Within the next year all of the towers are built around the globe, connected and are to be initialized simultaneously at the end of the commencement ceremony. Food and drink are free flowing, all in attendance buzz with excitement about this new milestone for humanity and the future couldn't seem brighter.

"Gather 'round everyone! Let us take a leap into the evolution of humanity together!", Erasmus Morganthal exclaims to the many people gathered at the commencement ceremony of the LifeWave Grid. Putting his hand onto the large lever connected to the power box Erasmus looks at the crowd. Politicians, celebrities, CEO's of Fortune 500 companies, all paying top dollar to witness the changing of the age. "3!...2!...1!..." Erasmus throws the lever to cycle power into the worldwide LWG. The air hums as power surges through the tower and it begins broadcasting the LifeWave. All people instantly feel a boost of energy, they can breathe better, see better, hear better, are stronger. This acceptance of the new reality spreads throughout the ceremony and as people begin to buzz with more excitement a small tremor shakes the ground for almost 15 seconds. The building shook, plates and drinks fell onto the floor, one of the large speakers playing music crashed to the floor, and people grabbed onto the nearest stable object. Once the tremor ceased everyone began to slowly pick up the fallen items. A little shaken at the unexpected tremor but after cleaning up the mess it soon slipped from their minds. The new reality of health, strength and evolution was a bright star they were unable to look away from.

Deep inside a cave in the remote outskirts of a poor and undeveloped land a being becomes conscious once more. Awoken from it's slumber by a familiar energy now spreading across the world, once again. A primordial being collects its consciousness as it has not done in millennia. Ankor awakens mummified, in the dark and only able to perceive the constant flow of divine creation energy spreading across the world. Unable to move, Ankor lays in the dark slowly absorbing the divine creation energy to restore power to his body. How much time passes Ankor is uncertain of though his body is finally whole. With his body restored Ankor reaches out with the divine creation energy to locate the nearest source. Putting his hand onto the nearest wall Ankor sends energy into the stone, all the way to the surface and rips the stone apart, like a dagger tearing through flesh. Stepping into the sunlight Ankor pauses to feel the warmth on his skin, to breathe the fresh air again and see the beautiful landscape around.

Ankor approaches the large metal structure responsible for producing such large amounts of divine creation energy and looks up with eyes full of greed. The screams of nearby humans bring Ankor back to the moment. Ankor's minions, humans twisted and augmented with divine creation energy filtered through the evil that is Ankor, or wights, are tearing the limbs off a sceaming woman as the city burns around him.

After destroying one major city filled with technology Ankor wanted to know about these strange things that didn't have any divine creation energy in them. As ancient and powerful as he was Ankor was unfamiliar with the shiny world he found himself in. Things were much different than any previous time he had been awake and Ankor got the feeling it was better for him this way. With the abundance of divine creation energy and technology Ankor was curious if he could bridge the gap between nature and technology.

500 years later humanity is surviving underground through the oppressive tyranny of Ankor. Though on the brink of extinction, humans still resist. A small group of resistance fighters have formed a special unit because certain children have been born with an extreme sensitivity and affinity for the LifeWave. Able to harness high levels of energy and manipulate it at will, to varying effects. These "Life Warriors" have bodies stronger than previous generations, have a way with Ankorian technology, almost whispering to it, and are able to resist Ankor's manipulation of the LifeWave in their bodies. The mission of these Life Warriors is to find a way to destroy Ankor and restore the world to the paradise that the legends say the world once was.
