What are some good ways to supplement beta carotene to my fire bellied toads?

I know gut loading insects with carrots is one way, but what are some others? I've seen some people say they dust crushed Hikari pellets on feeders as well. Is there a specific type I should use? Or alternatively just some straight carotene powder?
