Lack of Diversity in Frisco

Post Body

We recently moved to the Frisco area and honestly Frisco is beautiful but I am struggling with lack of intermingling between different cultural groups here. I’ve noticed for example, South Asians only hanging out with other South Asians. Being exposed to different groups of people from different backgrounds is so important. It helps you expand your perspective, expand your knowledge of culture, and I love the idea of diversified thought.

Am I solo on this? Idk we moved from out of town and loved our group of friends because of the diversity. Maybe I’m just in the wrong city? I’d love to hear your thoughts and if I’m wrong, please feel free to call me out. Please just don’t be rude. I intended this to be a discussion because everyone’s experience is different yet valid!

For clarity, I’m South Asian. I love my culture and love the people. But for some reason, my group of friends are only South Asian. We’ve tried to mingle with other groups of people and they tend to stay in their own cultural groups. Yes, frisco is diverse but lacks that melting pot feel. I didn’t mean to trigger or insinuate the lack of diversity. I apologize for not adding more detail.
